Cambalache — 248 MW Oil

The Cambalache power generation facility, located in the United States, ranks as the 1225th largest power plant among the 10,047 facilities across the nation. With a capacity of 247.5 MW, this oil-fired plant, operated by PREPA, contributes a modest 0.02% to the national capacity of 1,386,385 MW, where natural gas is the dominant fuel source. Commissioned to operate in a unique energy landscape, Cambalache utilizes conventional oil combustion technology, which has become less prevalent in recent years as the industry shifts toward more sustainable energy solutions.
