Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery OCGT Power Plant is a 126 MW gas-fired power plant located in Turkmenistan. The facility is operated by the Turkmen government and is part of the country’s energy infrastructure.

It ranks as the 5th largest gas plant in Turkmenistan. With a capacity of 126 MW, it accounts for 10.69% of the country’s total gas capacity of 1,179 MW. Turkmenistan has 5 gas plants with a combined capacity of 1,179 MW. Compared to the largest gas plant, Abadan Power Plant at 371 MW, Turkmenbashi is approximately 1/3rd the size.

Gas power generation is significant in Turkmenistan, providing a substantial share of the nation’s electricity. The country’s abundant natural gas reserves support its energy production capabilities. The Turkmenbashi plant is located about 700 km west of Ashgabat, near the Caspian Sea.
