Apodi — 120 MW Solar

Apodi is a 120 MW solar power plant located in Brazil. The facility contributes to the country’s renewable energy generation and is part of the growing solar sector.

It ranks as the 6th largest solar plant in Brazil. With 120 MW, it represents 6.88% of Brazil’s total solar capacity of 1,745 MW. Brazil has 24 solar plants with a combined capacity of 1,745 MW. Compared to the largest solar plant, Ituverava at 210 MW, Apodi is slightly more than half its size.

Solar energy is increasingly important in Brazil’s energy mix, providing around 0.7% of the country’s total electricity generation. The Apodi plant benefits from Brazil’s favorable geographic conditions for solar power, located in the northeastern region, approximately 300 km from Fortaleza.
