Hexigten Wind Farm — 120 MW Wind

Hexigten Wind Farm is a 120 MW wind power facility located in Inner Mongolia, China. This wind farm contributes to the growing renewable energy sector in the country.

Ranked as the 29th largest wind plant in China, Hexigten Wind Farm’s capacity of 120 MW accounts for 0.24% of the national wind energy capacity of 50,905 MW. China has 833 wind plants with a total capacity of 50,905 MW. Compared to the largest wind plant in China, the Gansu Wind Farm at 6,000 MW, Hexigten Wind Farm is about 2% the size.

Wind energy is increasingly important in China, contributing around 10% of the total electricity generation. The vast open spaces and favorable wind conditions in Inner Mongolia make it an ideal location for wind farms. Hexigten Wind Farm is situated approximately 300 km from the city of Hohhot.
