AVISE — 127 MW Hydroelectric

AVISE is a 126.5 MW hydroelectric power plant located in Italy. The facility generates electricity using water flow and is part of the country’s renewable energy infrastructure. It was commissioned in 2008.

AVISE ranks as the 47th largest hydro plant in Italy. With 126.5 MW, it represents 0.59% of Italy’s total hydro capacity of 21,383 MW. Italy operates 107 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 21,383 MW. Compared to the largest hydro plant, Centrale idroelettrica Luigi Einaudi at 1,200 MW, AVISE is about 1/9th the size.

Hydropower is a significant contributor to Italy’s energy mix, providing around 16% of the total electricity generation. The plant utilizes the natural water resources of the region, supporting sustainable energy production. AVISE is located approximately 100 km northwest of Turin in the Piedmont region.
