Luoyang Shoulong power station — 110 MW Coal

Luoyang Shoulong power station is a 110 MW coal-fired power plant located in Luoyang, China, operated by China Resources Power Holdings Co Ltd since its commissioning in 2004. The facility contributes to the local coal-fired energy generation.

This plant ranks as the 935th largest coal plant in China. With a capacity of 110 MW, it represents 0.01% of China’s total coal capacity of 1,030,281 MW. There are 1,012 coal plants in China with a combined capacity of over 1,030,000 MW. Compared to the largest coal plant, East Hope Metals Wucaiwan power station at 7,000 MW, Luoyang Shoulong is about 1/64th the size.

Coal remains a primary energy source in China, supplying approximately 57% of the country’s electricity. The geographical conditions in Henan Province support coal mining and transportation, facilitating energy production. The plant is located around 150 km west of Zhengzhou.
