Raichihinskaya GRES is a 102 MW coal-fired power plant located in Russia, operated by JSC “FAR EASTERN GK” (JSC “DGK”). The facility generates electricity using coal, contributing to Russia’s thermal power generation capacity.

It is the 86th largest coal plant in Russia. With a capacity of 102 MW, it represents 0.18% of Russia’s total coal capacity of 56,758 MW. Russia has 112 coal plants with a combined capacity of 56,758 MW. Compared to the largest coal plant in Russia, Reftinskaya GRES at 3,800 MW, Raichihinskaya GRES is approximately one-thirty-seventh the size.

Coal remains a major energy source in Russia, providing about 18% of the country’s electricity generation. The Raichihinskaya GRES plant uses locally sourced coal, which is a critical component of the energy strategy in the Far East region. It is situated approximately 200 km from the city of Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East.
