Storfinnforsen — 112 MW Hydroelectric

Storfinnforsen is a 112 MW hydroelectric power plant located in Sweden. It is one of the many hydro facilities operated in the country, contributing to Sweden’s renewable energy generation since its commissioning.

Storfinnforsen ranks as the 52nd largest hydro plant in Sweden. With a capacity of 112 MW, it represents 0.64% of Sweden’s total hydro capacity of 17,541 MW. Sweden has 216 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 17,541 MW. In comparison, the largest hydro plant, Karlshamn, has a capacity of 1,020 MW, making Storfinnforsen approximately one-tenth the size of Karlshamn.
