With a capacity of 106 MW, it represents 4.45% of Finland&#8217;s total hydro capacity of 2,382 MW. Finland has 95 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 2,382 MW. Compared to the largest hydro plant, Imatra at 192 MW, this facility is about 55% the size.<\/p>\n<p>Hydropower is a significant contributor to Finland&#8217;s renewable energy landscape, providing around 20% of the country&#8217;s electricity. The geography of Finland, with its numerous lakes and rivers, supports extensive hydroelectric development.
