Compared to the largest hydro plant, Imatra at 192 MW, Ossauskoski is approximately 65% the size.<\/p>\n<p>Hydropower is a key component of Finland&#8217;s energy mix, contributing significantly to the country&#8217;s renewable energy generation. The Ossauskoski plant takes advantage of Finland&#8217;s abundant water resources, particularly in the northern regions.
