With 120 MW, it represents 3.13% of the country&#8217;s total hydro capacity of 3,839 MW. The Czech Republic has 50 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 3,839 MW. Compared to the country&#8217;s largest hydro plant, Dlouh\u00e9 str\u00e1n\u011b Hydro Power Plant at 650 MW, Lipno I is approximately 18.5% the size.<\/p>\n<p>Hydropower is a significant component of the Czech Republic&#8217;s energy mix, providing around 11% of the total electricity generation. The country benefits from its mountainous terrain, which supports hydroelectric generation.
