With a capacity of 110 MW, it represents 0.21% of India&#8217;s total hydro capacity of 52,623 MW. India has 261 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 52,623 MW. Compared to the largest hydro plant, the Koyna Complex at 1,956 MW, PARE is approximately one-fifth the size.<\/p>\n<p>Hydropower is an essential component of India&#8217;s energy mix, contributing to about 10% of the total electricity generation. The country&#8217;s diverse geography, with numerous rivers and mountainous regions, supports hydroelectric development.
