With a capacity of 120 MW, it represents 3.13% of the country&#8217;s total hydro capacity of 3,839 MW. The Czech Republic has 50 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 3,839 MW. In comparison to the largest hydro plant, the Dlouh\u00e9 str\u00e1n\u011b Hydro Power Plant at 650 MW, Lipno I is about one-fifth the size.<\/p>\n<p>Hydropower contributes significantly to the Czech Republic&#8217;s energy mix, accounting for approximately 11% of total electricity generation. The country&#8217;s rivers and mountainous terrain facilitate hydroelectric power production.
