Kramatorskaya power station — 120 MW Coal

Kramatorskaya power station is a 120 MW coal-fired power plant located in Ukraine, operated by JSC Kramatorskteploenergo since its commissioning in 1974. The plant contributes to the country’s coal power generation capacity.

It ranks as the 35th largest coal plant in Ukraine. With a capacity of 120 MW, it represents 0.26% of the country’s total coal capacity of 45,883 MW. Ukraine has 36 coal plants with a combined capacity of 45,883 MW. Compared to the largest coal plant, Vuhlehirska thermal power plant at 3,600 MW, this facility is approximately 0.03 times the size.

Coal remains a major energy source in Ukraine, accounting for about 35% of electricity generation. The Kramatorskaya plant utilizes locally sourced coal, which is vital for energy independence. The facility is located roughly 200 km east of Kyiv in the Donetsk region.
