Tungatinah is a 125 MW hydroelectric power plant located in Tasmania, Australia, operated by Hydro-Electric Corporation. The plant has been generating electricity since its commissioning, contributing to Tasmania’s renewable energy landscape.

It ranks as the 23rd largest hydro plant in Australia. With a capacity of 125 MW, it represents 0.84% of Australia’s total hydro capacity of 14,906 MW. Australia has 102 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 14,906 MW. Compared to the largest hydro plant, the Snowy 2.0 hydropower project at 2,000 MW, Tungatinah is 1/16th the size.
