Rendalen is a 113 MW hydroelectric power plant located in Norway. The facility operates under hydroelectric principles, utilizing water flow to generate electricity.

It ranks as the 82nd largest hydro plant in Norway. With a capacity of 113 MW, it represents 0.33% of Norway’s total hydro capacity of 33,795 MW. Norway has 376 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 33,795 MW. Compared to the largest hydro plant, Kvilldal at 1,444 MW, Rendalen is about 1/13th the size.

Hydropower is the backbone of Norway’s energy system, supplying around 95% of the country’s electricity. The country’s mountainous terrain and abundant water resources facilitate extensive hydroelectric development. Rendalen is located approximately 150 km northeast of Oslo in the Innlandet region.
