Queimado — 105 MW Hydroelectric

Queimado is a 105.45 MW hydroelectric power plant located in Brazil, commissioned in 2004. It generates electricity using hydro power, contributing to the renewable energy generation in the country. The facility is part of Brazil’s extensive hydroelectric network.

Queimado ranks as the 148th largest hydro plant in Brazil, representing approximately 0.06% of the country’s total hydro capacity of 180,234 MW. Brazil has 720 hydro plants with a combined capacity of 180,234 MW. Compared to the largest hydro plant, Itaipu Dam at 14,000 MW, Queimado is about 0.75% the size.

Hydroelectric power is a dominant source of energy in Brazil, accounting for a significant portion of the national electricity supply.
