Prinses Alexia Windpark — 122 MW Eólica

Prinses Alexia Windpark is a 122 MW wind power facility located in the Netherlands, operated by Vattenfall. This plant contributes to the country’s renewable energy generation from wind.

It ranks as the 9th largest wind plant in the Netherlands. With a capacity of 122 MW, it represents 3.21% of the Netherlands’ total wind capacity of 3,799 MW. The country has 66 wind plants with a combined capacity of 3,799 MW, while the largest wind facility, Gemini, has a capacity of 600 MW, making Prinses Alexia Windpark approximately one-fifth the size of that plant.

Wind energy is increasingly important in the Netherlands, contributing to around 9% of the country’s total electricity generation. The geographical conditions, including coastal and open spaces, favor wind energy development. The plant is situated in the province of North Holland, approximately 30 km from Amsterdam.
